Living Well

Living Well is a practice of living our best. Getting a great massage is just the tip of the iceberg. Yoga, stretching and meditation are all practices that enrich our lives. I would like to use this space to offer suggestions for Living Well that may not be so mainstream. These are little factoids that I use in my life so that I can live well.

-I pet my cats every morning (and throughout the day). This works if you have a dog or a child as well. If you don’t have any of those, I hope you have a great garden (I love my garden). The idea is to nurture something.

-prepare your own fresh salad dressing. It will taste the way you like it and it won’t have a ton of sugar in it.

-Move. Just keep moving. Sitting idol locked in one position will cause your body to stiffen, making it more difficult to move. It’s a cycle-keep pedaling.

purge, purge, purge. You have too much junk in your life. You have things you will never use again, taking up space. Take an inventory and give a carload of ‘stuff’ to your favorite thrift store. Your junk is someone’s treasure. Creating space in your life is a spiritual concept. When you create space in your life, you invite something new.

-take time to breathe, it is a lost art.

-put on some music that inspires you. It makes everything delicious-even cleaning.
